Since 2000, Karen Brownd, LPC-MHSP-S, CSAT-S (CSAT 2008-0572), has embraced a passion for helping people struggling with behavioral and addictive disorders. After completing graduate school and licensure, she grew from Therapist to Clinical Director at a rapid pace. Karen has had extensive training and experience in working with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sex and Intimacy Disorders, Trauma, Dissociative Identity Disorders, Grief/Loss, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, and other Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorders. She is also trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, DBT, and Daring Way™.
Karen is licensed in the state of Tennessee. She has actively engaged in Clinical Program Development for more than 20 years, most recently at The Ranch and Life Healing Center, where she held Primary Therapist, Clinical Director, and Interim Executive Director positions. In 2007, working with Dr. Robert Weiss, she co-created the first Women’s Residential Program in the country for Sex and Intimacy Disorders. She is considered an expert in treating both women and men suffering from Sex and Intimacy Disorders. Karen holds supervision credentials for LPC-MHSP and CSAT, having a zest to train and mentor others. Karen remains a sought-after educational presenter on Sex and Intimacy Disorders, Trauma, and other related topics. She enjoys her husband, children, and eight grandchildren.
