James Cooper Thomas

Empathic. Grounded. Action-Oriented.

James brings a decade of lived recovery experience into his work supporting individuals struggling with pornography addiction, sexual addiction, love addiction, and co-occurring substance use disorders. As an established member of the Seeking Integrity team, James has supported many clients through the residential program as a Lead Behavioral Technician and currently facilitates groups in both residential and intensive outpatient settings.

James has extensive experience working with concerns including compulsive pornography use, romantic obsession, sexual anorexia, performance-related anxiety, and identity-related questions. He understands the unique challenges the digital landscape presents for individuals in recovery and helps clients translate insight into actionable lifestyle changes.

In support sessions, James takes a solution-focused, trauma-informed approach, helping individuals identify strengths, reduce shame, and create a clear path forward. Drawing from attachment-based perspectives and mindfulness practices, he works to create a safe, grounded space where clients can share openly and take meaningful steps toward healing.
