Residential Treatment for
Paired Substance/Sex Addiction 

Seeking Integrity offers residential treatment for men whose paired substance/sex behaviors have spiraled out of control. Our expert treatment program for co-occurring substance/sex addiction is 21 or 28 days, depending on client needs.

Virtual Step-Down Community

The Virtual Step Down (VSD) is a post-residential treatment program that focuses on building community while assisting with sobriety and recovery through structure and accountability. We work with each client to maintain sobriety, to set individual recovery goals, and to create related action steps designed to help maintain and bolster their sobriety and recovery. Then we assist them with accountability to ensure those action steps are completed.

Support comes through engagement with others in the program, connecting and striving toward the common goal of well-established sobriety, and recovery routines and relationships to support clients on a long-term healing journey.

The VSD program also includes interactive educational groups with more advanced topics than those usually covered in inpatient treatment. These are facilitated by Seeking Integrity team members and special guest therapists and educators—helping clients to continue building the tools necessary for their development and recovery. 

This program is highly encouraged for clients after graduating from the Seeking Integrity inpatient program. It is also open to longer-term alumni needing to get back to the basics. Men who have recently completed at least a 14-day inpatient treatment program elsewhere may be considered for the VSD after an assessment is completed.

Our Addiction Treatment Philosophy

At Seeking Integrity, one size does not fit all. We offer a constellation of highly individualized treatment programming for sex addiction, porn addiction, and paired sex and drug addiction. Please note that we purposefully place clients who share these very similar problems together. As nearly all our clients are intensity seeking, emotionally cut off men who are filled with shame and fearful of further losses, it makes sense that their short-term and longer-term problems are comparable and relatable. Thus, they belong in and benefit from the same (though highly individualized) addiction treatment programming.

No one chooses to have a sex, porn, or drug problem. No person just wakes up one morning and thinks, “Hey, why not start abusing myself, lying to my spouse, cheating on my relationship, and risking everything in life that I have worked to achieve.” Yet that is what happens with addiction. And these problems, once they set in, cannot be solved without expert assistance.

Our Facilities

Our treatment center and residence are located in the Sherman Oaks and Encino neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Our 3,300 square foot, newly constructed home accommodates up to 10 men comfortably with semi-private lodging and en suite bathrooms. All meals are included in the cost of care. Our chef prepares lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and helps clients with their weekend meal planning. The home is supported and supervised 24/7 by our trained Residential Staff, individuals who attend to the needs of the clients while fostering an atmosphere of community, accountability, and integrity.

Insurance

Seeking Integrity does not take insurance. As our program is currently constituted, certain specific clinical services may be eligible for insurance reimbursement. Upon request, we will provide a Superbill itemizing services that may be reimbursable by insurance. Please understand that SI’s all-inclusive fee covers much more than specific potentially reimbursable clinical services, such as housing, food, transportation, and various educational and experiential learning activities. Depending on your insurance coverage, including your deductibles and co-payments, reimbursement may be limited, if at all.
